World Cup '99

 

The ICC champions haven't proved themselves much on the international scene. They have a stuggle ahead of them as they lack any form of quality seam bowling and rely heavily on spin. They have lost 24 of the 25 international matches played by them so far. Their openers Mohammed Rafiq and Aminul Islam are good strikers , but their performance against swing bowlingleaves a big question mark.

Mohammed Rafiq is also a very good left arm bowler but his art may not get much purchase in England . They also hane Mehrab who is the first Bangla player to hit an ODI century . He did so against Zimbabwe . They will also be looking at ex-skipper Akram Khan for experience and guidance . Their team is coached by former West Indian great Gordon Greenidge . If he manages to infuse some legendary calypso spirit then they might land up upsetting a team or two.
