World Cup '99

Pakistan have always done well in the world cup but the've never looked any stronger than this before. Their game is marked withraw agression and subtle tactics .They seem to be at their peak. The've found in Wasim Akram an amazing leader and have overcome controversy to be united under him and he in turn has brought out the best in them.
Saeed Anwar and Afridi form one of the most deadliest batting combinations in the world and Inzamam , Malik and Moin Khan are excellent department.Their only problem being the extra bat , where Yohanna or Wasti need to improve.
They have the most amazing bowling department.... The bowler with most ODI wickets - Wasim Akram ; the fastestbowler in the world- Shoaib Akhtar ; the best offspinner - Saqlain Mushtaq ; the best proponent of the googly - Mushtaq Ahmed & the master of the reverse swing - Waqr Younis.
Moreover the team has got good experience in the English weather as most have played successful county seasons.
But have they peaked too early ? Can they maintain their touch , while the other teams dread to find out the answer we know for now that they are one of the favourites to lift the cup.
