This is where I will profile some of my favorite players .....

There were so many to chose from and it left me in a total state of confusion . After much deliberation I finally picked up some "chits" and decided on   DAVID BOON .

Boonie has been one of my favorite players of all time , even though he used to smash Indian bowlers about with utter disdain , and it was a sad sight to see him retire from International cricket , in such a sad manner ; bowlers all over the world would have heaved a sigh of relief while his aussie team mates would have raised their beer glasses to salute this great bat .

He started his international carrier as an opener but later moved down to number three . I personally remember him in this slot. He'd come in the worst of situations and yet look totally unfazed and get on with business . Just like Ranatunga you'd sometimes wonder how he would manage the running between he wickets and one thought that there was always a chance to get him run-out but this wonderful stroke maker made sure there was minimum running !
